How I Spent My Summer Vacation

Mel Gibson gets back to what he does best displaying plenty of his old charisma in this hugely entertaining Mexican-set Spaghetti western. Sparky Mel is a modern-day Man With No Name (with more than a hint of his Martin Riggs character from Lethal Weapon), an American getaway driver who is arrested on the Mexican side of the border. The cops take his money and dump him in prison, a world of junkies, hookers and psychotic gangsters from which there is supposedly no escape, so survival becomes his number one priority. But after he befriends a nine year-old boy, it becomes about much more than his own survival.
