Tim Burton is in his element with this comic horror story of a very peculiar family. Depp plays Barnabas Collins a rich, powerful playboy who crosses a jealous witch (Green) who turns him into a vampire, then buries him alive. Reawakened after 200 years he reemerges into the very changed world of 1972. His house and family is in ruins, the jealous witch is still determined on revenge, while various weirdo members of his family harbour other supernatural secrets.
