Beating Berlusconi! is based on the true story of a Liverpool fan who ended up sitting next to Silvio Berlusconi at the Attaturk Stadium. Despite threats from his wife and bank manager, middle-aged Kenny Noonan travels to Istanbul to watch Liverpool play AC Milan in the Champions’ League final. He carries the scars of thirty years as a Red and of living in a city which has been demonised. From the cattle-rearing plains of rural Colombia, Cimarron make music rooted in the mixed heritage of African, Spanish and indigenous cultures. Led by harpist and composer Carlos Rojas, they combine harp, bandola, cuatro, maracas, cajon and bass, hammering out mesmerizing rhythms with jaw-dropping speed. Highlights include a dazzling array of passionate solos, whirling dance and haunting love songs! Catrin Finch, Royal Harpist from 2000 to 2004, is well known for her innovative approach which has captured the imagination of fans worldwide.Together, Catrin and Cimarron celebrate the beauty and versatility of harp music from Colombia and Cymru.
