Artist Open Call
Wyeside Arts Centre 50 Anniversary Open Exhibition
October 2026 Marks the 50 anniversary of Wyeside Arts Centre. To celebrate the occasion, we are inviting artists living and working in Wales to be a part of our anniversary group open exhibition in the autumn.
Wyeside takes its name from the mighty River Wye, located on its banks, at the very crossing point that connects Wales from North to South. For our anniversary it seems fitting to pay tribute to the important role the River Wye plays in our landscape, culture and heritage and forms the theme of this group show.
We now invite artist to respond to the theme: What does the River Wye mean to you?
Are you inspired by its nature, the flora and fauna of the river or the rich folklore and tales centered around its powerful, mysterious even magical qualities. Perhaps the heritage of the river and the communities who have come to live and work alongside the river are your inspiration. What does the River Wye mean to you?
Awards: We will invite a judging panel to select first and second prizes with the following awards:
First Prize £500 - The opening solo exhibition of the new Wyeside post renovation*
Second Prize £250 - Solo exhibition slot in Wyeside Gallery
