Tarddle/Source - A Journey Up The River Wye
June 20, 26 | 6:30pm
Free Entry
Drop in session: Tom Bullough has spent a lot of this past year wandering up the River Wye from the border at Hay-on-Wye to its source on Pumlumon Fawr, filming the river and the things on its banks and recording conversations with scores of people – from poultry farmers to teachers and musicians, conservationists to tourists, anglers, a rally driver and a spirit medium. The result is a (for want of a better word) film called Tarddle/ Source, in which nine months and seventy-something miles pass by while unseen people discuss their relationship with the Wye but also their lives, hopes and concerns, and subjects as varied as wind farms, peat bogs, Welsh identity and the nature of the soul.

Swansea University Talk
Tuesday 17 June | 1:30pm
Threads Of Emotion
Feeding a baby is often portrayed as a straightforward, joyful experience, yet for many mothers, it is filled with complex emotions, including guilt, pressure, and uncertainty. The Motherhood (G)Quilt Project is a unique collaboration that explores these often-unspoken feelings through the art of quilting. In this talk, Dr. Sophia Komninou will share how this interactive quilt—stitched together from baby clothes donated by mothers across Wales—amplifies real experiences of infant feeding.

Swansea University: Rivers and Rights
Tuesday 15 July | 7pm
Creative Ways To Protect The Environment
As climate change, pollution, and loss of wildlife combine to ever more seriously harm our rivers, we are looking for better ways to protect them. While we have regulation in place, our rivers continue to deteriorate, and so people are looking for new ways to use the law to halt decline and push for improvement. This event explores how legal rights—both for people and for nature—might help protect the River Wye.
Tickets: £5
All tickets are subject to a 50p admin fee.
