Facilities & Access

At Wyeside we believe in bringing arts and culture to all people, of all abilities. We appreciate that getting out isn’t always easy for everyone and we aim to make planning your visit as simple as possible. With advance notice we will be pleased to offer any additional assistance that you may require.

Wheelchair & Disabled Access

We offer:

  • Lift access to all floors.

  • Level access to all areas.

  • Disabled toilet which is accessible from all areas.

  • Wheelchair spaces in all our auditoriums.

  • Disabled parking on our forecourt. It is advised that you call the Box Office to reserve as space is limited.

Our disabled seating and parking facilities are allocated on a first-come first-served basis as these facilities are limited due to the restricted nature of our Grade II listed building. To guarantee availability we strongly advise booking in advance via our Box Office. Please see our Contact Us page for details on the best way to reach us.

Unfortunately, wheelchair spaces are not bookable online at this time but can be purchased directly through our Box Office by phone during opening hours or by emailing boxoffice@wyeside.co.uk

Assistance for the Blind & Visually Impaired.

Deaf & Hard of Hearing.

Guide dogs are welcome throughout the centre.

Audio description for blind and visually impaired people is available for nearly all of Wyeside’s films and screenings (subject to availability) on request at the Box Office.

We also offer a wireless device for the Hearing Impaired which amplifies the audio of all our films and Satellite Live screenings. The volume is fully adjustable to suit you and this can be worn with or without hearing aids, using headphones (you are welcome to bring your own 3.5mm jack headphones).

We also hold regular subtitled screenings which provide a transcription of the audio from a film. This is displayed at the bottom of the cinema screen, to benefit people who are hard of hearing. Along with the dialogue from the film, the subtitles include non-dialogue audio such as "(sighs)" or "(door creaks)".
