Jonathon Morgan who died on February 14th 2016 was the longest serving artistic director of Wyeside Arts Centre. During his long association with Wyeside his great heart, vision, energy, inspiration and exceptional breadth of knowledge and empathy for all art forms, transformed Wyeside into the leading small arts venue in Wales. He made it the model for others to follow. 

The Jonathon Morgan Fund that commemorates him encourages the development of all aspects of the artistic programme that promotes arts activity for young people. It can provide support for a range of activities, including individual and group participation in drama, poetry, dance, music and multimedia activities. Jon was a huge Shakespeare enthusiast and the fund promotes in particular the participation and engagement of individuals and groups of young people with all aspects of Shakespearean drama.
